GBRf 'THE CEMEX EXPRESS' No 66780'
On 15 December 2017 GBRf completed the acquisition of ten surplus Class 66 locomotives from DB Cargo UK, one of which was 66008, which had originally arrived in the UK on 3 October 1998. Renumbered to 66780 on 11 September 2018, the locomotive was the last of the ten to be repainted, leaving Eastleigh Arlington in a new silver/blue Cemex livery and on 12 June 2019, 66780 was named 'The Cemex Express' at a dedicated naming ceremony held at Dove Holes Quarry near Buxton, being unveiled at the event by Pete Waterman.
