The Southern Railway made good use of older and redundant lengths of bullhead rail, reusing it for many applications, such as sign posts, fencing posts, and of course, signals. Our model faithfully replicates the distinctive design of this signal, and rather than offer three separate kits, this kit can be built in one of three ways: home signal, distant signal, and a combined home and distant signal. When carefully assembled the model will be able to function, either using the supplied operating wire and lever, or a servo system such as the Pecolectrics SmartSwitch.
