2k Technologies Limited is a large (3500sqft), family friendly, (that includes children, dogs, old people like me) model shop with 2 floors based in Hipperholme, West Yorkshire between Halifax & Bradford, just off the A58 …
Please remember we are just ordinary people working in Yorkshire; we tell it like it is here! We only sell products that we would be happy to use ourselves so you can be assured we won’t try and sell you something that’s not suitable or needed!
Our prices may not always be the cheapest but they are ‘fair’ and ‘honest’, remember we have rent, wages and on very cold days heating to pay for! – and the women have the heating on in summer!
2KTL was established in 1999 as an online mail order model shop selling quality models, directly from the manufacturer and has grown to be one of the largest in the UK, sending out over 1000 orders per week world wide.
We have, set over 2 floors, a large 3500 sq ft walk around model shop which is open 5 days a week, with plenty of FREE customer parking in our own large yard … Upstairs we have 1000’s of plastic model kits, model railway layouts and toys; we cater for all ages (young and old), with everything from Thomas The Tank Engine play tables for younger children to, at the push of a button, a complete working Hornby layout…. Downstairs, displays include a Peco Room, Train Room, Scenic Materials Room, Buildings, Modelling Plastics (Slaters, Evergreen, Plastruct) & Diecast Room, PECO & Gaugemaster room with a Bachmann Thomas ‘Garden Railway’ running round the shop ceiling! There’s also plenty more to discover scattered around, so you’ll be sure to find something that takes your fancy.
Our Worldwide mail order shipping is in purpose made packaging, sent either by Royal Mail, DHL, DX Secure, Fedex . Most orders are packed same or next working day and shipped within 2 working days… that’s if the packing department can stop gossiping long enough to get them done!! These are the staff members unlucky enough to still be working here.
